Arranging The House For The Disabled

Is it true that the architectural world is not so friendly to the disabled? Although the number of people with normal ability becomes a majority, but it doesn’t mean that the architectural design does not consider a comfortable and friendly place for people with disabilities. Building for the environment and human being also means building for the disabled, a facility that can be enjoyed by people with disabilities surely can be enjoyed by the entire society.
In the world of architecture, the design is not only for normal people, people with disabilities is one of the objects which taken into consideration in the design concept. Therefore, this writing is made as an input for the bedroom and bathroom design for the people with disabilities, in this case the people who use wheelchairs.
Arrangement for the disabled people’s bedroom is essentially the same as the arrangement of the normal people bedroom; the difference only with the circulation. People with disabilities have the size and standard dimension for the circulation. This standard size is going to be used as the basis for the placement and the design of the circulation for the disabled.
