Building a Garden Inside the House

Building a house in a narrow space often make some room in the house did not get enough lighting and fresh air / natural. As a result, some of the room was dark and stuffy, so the light and the air conditioning must be kept lit at all times .. This such thing can be avoided, besides it is unhealthy, the electrical consumption is also a wasteful .. This matter contrasts with the issue of Go Green that we often hear recently.
Several types of building that has lighting and air circulation problems like already explain above are like residential homes that has couple designed (town houses or row houses), or the houses at densely populated area. One way to overcome these problems is by designing and placing open garden in the building (inner courtyard), between the spaces that have no direct relationship with the area and the air outside. Open garden that located in the center of the building will provide natural air and lighting for the room at noon.
That garden does not have to be filled by a lot of plants / vegetation, the composition of the garden could be dominated by rocks, Peebles, or with a combination of water (pool) and aquatic plants (lotus, etc). Spaces that close to the garden should be given a maximum aperture. Large ventilation, wide glass windows or sliding doors that create an opening toward the garden, so the intensity of light and circulation toward the space are fast.

Miriam here. Just wanted to drop in and tell you that I agree with what you say here… It’s hard for me to make a good comment as I’m kind of new to this whole ‘blog thing’, but I guess I’m doing it alright? – Miriam
