Having minimalist house doesn’t mean you got minimalist garden too. Mix and match of the various style of a house garden can make your house look more stylish. Beside minimalist garden, there are six types of garden that are suitable to combined with minimalist houses, namely Mediterranean, Tropical, Japanese, American and British garden with a formal style. To be combined it right, there are a few things that should be noted:

Mediterranean, this style is the most suitable when it combined with the minimalist house. For the owners who want the appearance looked calm and monochromatic. Because this type of garden has the power to appear any kind of textures and various types of plant forms in the green shades. The using of plants such as Agave (Agave attenuata), Yucca (Yucca sp), Nolina (Nolina longifolia) and Cycads (Cycas rumpii) that has firmly lined is complementing the firm line of a house.

This type of plant is also very appropriate when given a special lighting so the garden can be looked different at night. It is suitable if you often hold a garden party or evening event at your house. Do not forget to use the border plants and ground cover that has fine textured to match with the firm lines.

The presence of watery elements such as fish ponds, fountains and even water plants would be fit perfectly for complementing the Mediterranean garden. Other hard elements that can be used are like garden lamps, animal sculptures, pots with brightly colored stand (cream, light yellow) or dark (black, gray) can be combined with a white husky coral. Select pots that have simple form with geometric patterns.
